Auckland Transport chief executive Dean Kimpton director of company awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of AT contracts

Looks like this might Brown off more than Hon. Mayor

Was this a weekend or at night sideline being a steering wheel operator & head coffee maker elsewhere when not head down / tail up (or should be the opposite for AT's Head of Operations Rooster) in his day job at AT ?

How much are AT paying this rooster for the day job while he flits off to dive into other things after hours, perhaps like or including contracts awarded from AT on the side ?

Might be different if it weren't for Contracts being secured from AT & his only being the head honcho CEO

Not a good look as Hon Mayor of the Jafferville Grand Metropolis says .. maybe the Auditor General needs to poke his nose in for an indepth look around to see if arrangements pass the sniff test ?

Mayor Wayne Brown’s plan to dethrone Auckland Transport in council-controlled organisation shake-up

Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown wants to “dethrone” Auckland Transport (AT) by stripping its mostly unelected board members of powers and putting elected representatives in full control.

The proposal is part of the biggest shake-up of the council-controlled organisations (CCOs) since the Super City was formed in 2010, and includes plans to abolish the council’s development agency, Eke Panuku Auckland, and its events and economic development agency Tātaki Auckland Unlimited.

Brown outlined his intentions for CCO reform in an exclusive statement to the Herald today.

Gez Wayne - why has it taken you so long to wake up to "Ripping the Wheels out from underneath them" was the way to go ?

Sewage trucked away from hundreds of new homes in West Auckland with no permanent wastewater connection

    (Paywalled)

Another Auckland Council affiliated mob - Water No-Care responsible for this shambles

Where's the Council King of Brown Offs - Wayne hiding on this ?

How about kicking some Water-No-Care asses to fixing it yesterday ?

The papershuffling clowns hidden in offices up in down the Council turf aren't slow in trying to extract large bills for Water & Lack of Care are they ?

A different story when it comes to a simple matter of well overdue connections

Traffic in Auckland CBD slows to crawl, Victoria St carpark clogged for hours

An Auckland Transport spokesperson said Auckland city centre is a popular weekend destination and events like today’s Open Day at Auckland University can cause more congestion than normal.

“We know this can be frustrating and stressful for drivers and we do what we can to keep traffic moving.

“One way we do this is at Auckland Transport Operations Centre (ATOC) where the team constantly monitors the roads and optimises traffic signals when needed to improve traffic flow so people can move more quickly.”

AT seem to know all about this being popular destination, would have been aware of what was going on and things still got seriously congested up for hours .. Time for intense Brown-off attention & a cage full of new more attentive monkeys who can manage AT's traffic issues better ?

Were all the cameras in the area on the blink / switched off & everyone out of the office having a leisurely long lunch & refreshments on AT free meal passes at the time ?

Seriously .. Aucklanders are getting seriously inconvenienced by these drongos & all the excuses after the event

How long have AT had to try to fix all the usual reccrring issues but keep on coming up with a trail of FAIL's and excuses ?
