Couldn’t help but booked some profits today.

Almost a year ago I had $20k spare to allocate, and so I tried the old “coffee can” investing approach of chucking $10k into speculative high growth plays conceivably capable of 10x or more returns, with the intention of never selling until those returns are achieved (unless there is a significant change to the selected companies).

Only names that fit the bill for me (were actual businesses and not pure gambles) on NZX were Gentrack & Serko.

Serko is pretty much flat since then, while Gentrack is up almost 2.5x. Still intend to hold until at least 10x achieved.

Fair enough LEK, not gloating but I’m sitting on 5x return here currently, so no brainer for me to take some profits.
