LOL indeed sir.
"black swan" a phrase often underestimated I believe.
Im intrigued "of u".
I suppose after loosing a wee bit to RJI in the mid late 80s I became quite blunt and cynical towards the SM in general.
But I have remained invested over the decades.
We should have a fanta one day.

Yes the RJI debacle was an education for many of us. We no longer have these corporate 'mesiahs' such as Jones, Newland, Hawkins, Judge, Brierley etc to lead us to the promised land. And thank god for that.

And that I believe is the main reason why NZ inc despises the SM.
The most to blame ?
I believe it was the legislative/commerce bodies (of both parties) shockingly pathetic dismal performance in failing to govern properly.
Like hawkins/judge in particular ....and even after that what about Hanover ....and South canterbury finance...I weep.

RIP Brian Gaynor.
I could be wrong but I believe he was battling watson/hotchin (maggots) in the courts.
After he was critical of their business practice likening it to a "pyramid scheme"...

Yeah I lost money on South Canterbury Finance. I never had money with them but I pay taxes and the NZ govt paid out $1.6bn to bail out depositers.
