Before placing the order, the total value of the order including total brokerage is displayed on screen. Was the amount of brokerage actually charged more than you accepted on screen before placing the order?
if you had 1c less than the order amount in your cash account, then you would be charged the insufficient funds rate.

Jarden is a bit of a joke these days compared to the old Direct Broking,
Everything just seems to hard with them now

All OK fee reversed. No increase in brokerage, yet!

Unsurprisingly Jarden seem to have reduced the interest rate paid on $NZ funds held in investors wallets by 0.25% in each tier. I looked on the day ORR made his announcement and it hadn't changed then, but it has since.
