This ferry was fit for purpose acccording to National, no need for an upgrade.
The cheap option is the default position for them.

Just pretend the ferry upgrade is like the PM’s entitlements budget.
No expense spared or value for money there. Spending restraint is for the c-listers.

Never far from a Ph*k -up .. fronting clean up of the aftermath of one of Willie the Labour Broadcasting Spinner's ones here:

Aotearoa's rich list shows New Zealand is 'a little out of balance' - E tū union organiser and ex-Labour MP Michael Wood
Still a bit unbalanced - Mr Wood ?
They seem to have achieved it all overseas out of the reach without any help from a certain mob of Labour cretins looking enviously over the fence and other retards who among numerous sins committed couldn't follow dear Leader's commands
And just for a little additional balance:

Michael Wood's reminders to divest his shares: A timeline
and from Google:
Someone obviously didn't fall in and bounce on his head through enough deep pole holes on the way out, after the pointy ends of the PM's clodhoppers rammed into his rear end to produce extra elevation & exit velocity
Hope the poor victims landing in the clutches of E-Tu fare a bit better
Sadly that seems to also include sorting out another large F&*k-up - State Media which dreamed & rattled along under occasional eye of one of Michael's fellow Labour mates - Grand Performer - Comrade Willie .. until the rails on the track went haywire and started bucking passengers off

In former fill-in Labour Leader & Chief Bottlewasher gibberish:
Fancy disrupting the last long lost Fill-in PM's Sausage roll tossing session like this ?
What was Wood thinking ?
And so from this - the excised talent appears to be now squawking loudly from the dimly lit & dizzy back passageways of E-Tu where now relegated, never likely to be seen back at a Beehive .. unless ...
PS: It's rumoured that E-Tu will be having a weekly collection to try to replace all Michael's lost and otherwise immorally sold shares courtesy of Labour Leader's unfair directives - please give generously if in the E-Tu neck of the wood and watch for fallen trees .. precious talent deserves to be well looked after - something which the ratbags at Labour apparently don't understand

Tauranga mayoral race: Tim Maltby on council spending and housing
In July, Tauranga will choose who will be running their city for the first time in five years. A mayor and nine councillors will replace the four-person commission that has been in place since February 2021. To keep people informed ahead of the election on July 20, Local Democracy Reporting asked the 15 mayoral candidates their thoughts on four topics. Before voting opens on June 29 readers will hear from each of the mayoral candidates.
Good riddance to the tame pets in Tauranga that Labour installed, watched over by the 3 Waters Witch - Mahuta

Lauren Dickason sentencing: Mother expresses remorse for murdering daughters, says she ‘failed’ them
“We are disappointed with [Immigration New Zealand]. Why did you insist on Lauren having to submit reports on her mental condition and Karla’s cleft lip within a week of arriving?”
Asked today about the family’s comments on MIQ requirements, Labour leader and former Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins acknowledged the challenging set of circumstances the family had found themselves in.
“I don’t want to add to that grievance by getting into that debate,” Hipkins said.
“I know that people who worked in MIQ tried really hard to support families, particularly families with young children, but I don’t want to comment on their comments, I just acknowledge that they’re going through a really horrible time.”
Too difficult, or you weren't there ? or were you and directing the Labour MIQ Ph*k-up - Hipkins ?
Everyone knows MIQ / Covid Response was an utter shambles .. right down to your "Open your Legs" performance.
These people and many others deserved a far better standard than what was seen in the imposed Lock Up
Shame on you - HIPKINS - this is a result of Labour's Incompetent Clueless MIQ Directive with you as Minister.
These people paid dearly - but you are the FAILURE and this is but one on a list of failures at your hand.

Imagine if it was like the useless Green MPs entitlement budget on flights to nowhere (no public meetings etc) , we could buy an additional ferry. But I don't see you mention any concerns about that, despite your obvious concern about the PM's entitlements, some of which he paid back even though it was all according to the rules !

Let me know when the greens become stale accountants preaching the need for spending restraint.
Ie, we're going to go line by line through each spending item and seek value for money for taxpayers (being so miserable as to criticise small amounts like $30k for some public service event). Though we're gonna exclude everything I benefit most from?
