I would have thought the 2 major points would be clear to anyone of the meanest intelligence
(a) you're not giving an incentive to customers to take up UFB when you cut copper wire broadband to rather cheaper than UFB
(b) you're putting the rollout in peril if you substantially weaken CNU's financial ability to make big investment in the rollout.

agree MVT disapointing for UFB good for all the people who want to stay on copper for the next 20yrs it will keep NZ in the stoneage lol anyway I might buy some when the price tanks , if they are only going to make 20m then there will be no divs available to S/H so the company is not even a utility anymore.

Regulated rates are meant to be based on the cost of the network and what it would cost if someone else rebuilt. Well they have a perfect compariable in that they are building the fibre network.
By not even getting close to the Governments range, the Government has no choice but to overrule them. Otherwise, why did they set the range in the first place.
