SP steady rise seems under the radar on this site at least. 6 months ago, around the $19 mark. Today not far off $27. Not too dusty.
Fantastic gains there pierre:t_up:. Have you held since re 2011 and did you just ride out the massive rise and fall in 2013/14/15 or trade in and out or top up? Just curious on strategies.

Thanks Joshuatree. I'm generally a buy and hold operator. I bought XRO in November 2012 and have ridden the waves since then. I may have missed a few bonanzas (like XRO at $40+) but then I've enjoyed some great gains too (such as HBL - thanks to Percy). I don't profess to have any skills at picking the top or bottom of the market.
If I like a business I'll buy into it and stay in it unless there's a compelling reason to sell and have built a substantial 7 figure portfolio through patience and time in the market.
I am concerned about the overall market being a bit "toppy" at the moment but have been on the roller coaster for a while and can cope with a few stomach churners. One question I cant answer is, where do I put my money if I sell down anyway. Currently holding a bit of cash earning SFA at the bank but would rather watch than invest right now.
Sounds like I'm in a similar boat to your Pierre. Bought in at $3.15 and have been holding firm ever since. Been one hell of a roller coaster, as I'm sure you know.
I purchase my first lot of shares in July 08 and my average price is about $1.03. I do have regrets not selling my shares at $40 when my gut told me to sell.
That adage time in the mkt not timing has worked well for you guys.Im slowly building cash for that correction which i feel is coming like a super slow motion train wreck, although NZ seems reasonably insulated. The USA /world seems to be all hanging on Trump delivering his promised tax cuts if he survives that long and actually delivers, maybe then (if he delivers, buy on the rumour sell on the fact)is the time to bail out of everything and await bargains?
From the several responses above, it looks like we're now back in that euphoric period of late 2014 and early 2015  if I'm not mistaken about the period even though the sp now has not broken the $30 yet. May it long continue going higher for all us holders.
All we need is "live the dream" :p
XRO has hit $28 this morning.
