Have a look at this, XRO hounds should note what happens in a more liquid market like the ASX (let alone what is possible on the NAZ when XRO lists there). http://stocknessmonster.com/stock-trades?S=XRO&E=ASX What do you see? Possibly you might notice the large number of very small trades that swing the price, sometimes by a surprising amount. This is what it looks like when the clever traders are working the price. Ask yourself, especially if you are an end-of-day trader, or even a true believer but scalping a % profit, whether you are skilled enough to pick entry's and exits in amongst price action like this. The traders own this stock right now, and I bet they're nervous on the long side and grooming the price for an exit, which most will miss until it's too late.
@snapiti ... actually it went to $25.25 yesterday but you're correct it closed at $25, today down to close $24.70. I thought $25.54 could be a turning point but $27.98 sure is (on TA). So there may be some upside if the believers want this badly enough, but today suggests maybe enough is enough. Time to bank the profits and wait for another day?
The ASX trades for 1h 15m after the NZX closes.
Here are the details of all the movements on the ASX that moved the price by $0.11 (approx 0.5%) or more:

Ok, so you don't want to agre, that's OK, we can agree to disagree maybe? During the ASX day, there was a large number of trades of very low volume, some of which are obviously designed to move the market ... here's some under 100 shares:

Baa Baa - that is pretty standard for literally 100's of stocks on the ASX everyday of the week - have you not noticed it before?
The idea is take a nibble out of a buy/sell in order to get that order to trade.

Baa Baa...Paper Tiger is right. We have had discussion over time where institutions rebalance index funds and you get rafts of small trades. Its just the way the thing works.Even the brokers get frustrated with it.....I think you will find that all the bits and pieces are between quotes so it doesn't matter whether it's a big or small parcel the market can move the same amount....
