Sitting government's around the World are getting a backlash? The right wing ideologues in the British Conservative party have certainly been making a bad situation much worse. Even many Conservative supporters are turning against them.
This Winter will be tough. My friends in the UK and elsewhere in Europe have been keeping their heating off and buying more warmer clothes. A mild Autumn has helped in some parts. For Czechia and others in Eastern Europe it had become a balancing act of importing Russian Energy versus pay-rolling an unwanted invasion by Russian Tanks. Today it is Ukraine's turn for the tanks and missiles.
No organisation is perfect. However If you want to dust off a welcome mat to an oppressive right wing murderer to reclaim lost Eastern European territory, then they should leave NATO now.
