Sounds about right to me...

Looks as if the Aussies just got their refund in their accounts.
This might be a little bit off-topic but I have noticed that Kiwis in general are slightly better informed about the share market since Kiwisaver started. So in a generation or two I hope people are better equipped to become investors and use the many tools provided to them. Australia in this regard had a huge head start.
Coming back to Serko; the action post SPP was expected yet I'm still positively surprised that there seems to be little demand to cash in on the small gains. There should be no reason why we shouldn't be a half-billion dollar company going into Christmas and NY.
$5-00 party getting closer, should break through into it next week, well done team !
So who topped up with their refund (if any) money? :D
$5-15 whatsup ?
Try and find another stock on NZX with Serko’s superb market positioning in a truly fast growing multi-billion dollar international opportunity.
$5 is cheap!
Love it when we get speeding tickets

Well, not no one.
Should be able to build a decent deck.
Just in time for a Christmas picnic.
Still some interesting things going on with the trading - perhaps we will see a swimming pool to match the deck in the next update?
I'm not happy anymore with the way Serko is run. A flash mob? That's so 2009 and not befitting a forward looking company. https://www.serko.com/news/serko-flashmob
discl. sarcasm
This company is tracking really well... Admittedly I did sell out at $4.80c for an early christmas present to myself. However it seems like the booking.com deal won't materialise into any results until 2021?
Consequently, i'm going to watch from the side lines and probably re-enter on the famous downtrends Serko tends to exhibit year after year lol
Another year for christmas presents from Serko ...how low will it go? Don’t want to miss out.
FOMO made me top up my stocks at the wrong time everytime so I think i'll just stay out of this one till it pops down to $4.50 lol
...ahhh, nothing to add, just wanted to get the Serko thread back up the top... 😁.
Bit of an SKO nod here and interesting chat... https://www.livewiremarkets.com/wire...-with-the-pros
Interesting listening to a savvy female investors views and methods. Ladies still a minority in the industry so great to hear some alternative perspectives on companies that the fellas might overlook, outside the circle of competence etc...
More expansion to North American Leadership front...

Darrin Grafton, Serko CEO commented,
“2020 is lining up to be a watershed year for Serko. Zeno has struck a chord across the industry and we’re excited to further extend our presence in North America and Europe.”
Very bullish statement. Onwards to $10?
ATH now @ $5.25, go you good thing !!
This makes me still laugh. How for a brief period all energy drained out of me wondering what has happened. Now it's a reminder that the market can be extremely irrational.

It is very telling imo that Serko does not see this as a material disclosure to be announced via the NZX.
Says to me that the directors and company are running the company for the big opportunities, rather than feeling & seeing the need to keep on making continuous announcements (like some companies we know - eg. PEB) to try and boost the sp.
2020 and beyond - exciting times and plenty of upside ahead!
500,000 shares crossed at $5.30 - we have a new level to start 2020 with!
Aust equivalent trade ATM is $5.50 + !!
As in XRO, this has to be another "live the dream" sort of a stock
A logical move on Booking.com's part. What with the potential SKO's Zeno has.
Will ride it to the end. Placing 50% of buy out money into Booking.com's shares.
Thus being able to enjoy both sides of the equation.
What price do you pick for the take over ?.
$100 $200 ?
They will have to make an offer which the founding shareholders cannot refuse.
Having met Darrin & Robert while they were building up Serko using their own funding (and they went through some tough times then), I doubt they are going to let Serko go until they have realized its full potential.
My thoughts are that Booking.Com would have offered to take over Serko last year but settled for a shareholding and strategic alliance when Darrin & Robert decided not to sell.
As Zeno proves itself and becomes ever more entrenched in the online travel & leisure industry, it can only get ever more valuable.
Let's enjoy the ride! :t_up:
A recent write-ups on Serko :
https://www.fool.com.au/2020/01/10/w...watch-in-2020/
Excerpts :
"The managed travel markets in North America and the UK/Europe are estimated to be worth a whopping $338 billion and $330 billion, respectively."
"Serko is an exciting small-cap ASX tech share that has attractive business fundamentals and a lucrative runway for further growth. As demand for its solutions only increases, it’s no wonder the company has experienced enormous share price growth over the last few years.
At current levels, it may be prudent for investors to remain on the sidelines until presented with a more reasonable buying opportunity. However, with the business seemingly going from strength to strength, there’s no telling when that may be."

There's no telling indeed!

Let's enjoy the ride!
Crazy...500m company with less than 15m revenue on last intern report.i rather buy GTK or VGL...or MPG
Yup...n wait till the bubble pop out.... totally speculation IMO. Buy hey....greed out there..buy the rumors n sell the fact....good luck all
Yup.. keep dreaming people....revenue figures will speak itself...
No comparison with zero....last earning was over 300m plus..SKO..only 15m...PLX can do better eh..but....hold on..all good.....
Ops....I hear the pop soon...
Earning was over 300m and did they make a profit yet?
That is one of the differences I like about SKO.
Another one being that they are becoming the industry standard through their white label product. XRO has nothing that can’t be replicated.
But I am not here to sell it, so do like the previous advisor quoted said and sit on the sideline until a buying opportunity comes along - my guess is that will be around the $50 mark.
Call it $88... lucky no...CNY is coming soon
Guess you feel about this as I feel about Napier port. Although the port shares have stabilised. I would rather buy SKO over Napier port as directors seem to have proven themselves to the market. Napier port has done that for the council, but still need to prove longterm to the market. Only my two cents and we all have different ways of investing.
Why SKO is the stock to watch in 2020. See article here.
Golly, my sell order at $5.75 just got partially hit... wasn't really expecting that today!
Just touched $5.75. Is there a trading update coming? Or someone kicking the tires?
$5.80 hit just now, seems as though demand coming from Aussie punters. Someone is very keen to accumulate...
Might be time for speeding ticket if it keeps going this way...
Big order gone through. Either insider trading or a big aussie investor lol
Fundamentally, net income and profit margin fell between 2018 and 2019, so realistically this is attributable to either hype from the booking.com deal which may not amount to what people expect or a new deal
I've been a shareholder since Day 1 and there were quite a few times when I doubted my own research if people want to go back to my posts in this thread. It's funny how once I stared down at this big loss wondering what happened, went back to my research notes and then decided that the market was wrong and I am right and bought some more. I wish I was still this confident.
Likewise, silu, I have also been a shareholder from day 1. Was painful for a while holding the stock but I also added to my shareholding, especially after the directors put in more of their own money at above market sp.
A big part of my confidence stems from personally meeting and negotiating with Darrin & Robert (in Serko) years ago. They struck me as very smart and focused individuals who do not work for money. Hence, they will always play the long game rather than the short game.
That confidence has not changed.
That was more of a personal remark. In 2016 I had to close my business of 7 years which I ran with my wife and 2 months later she died. I have been timid ever since with almost every decision I make. She was the rock and support I needed to be bold.
But on a happier note - I only met Darrin briefly and I was very impressed.
I've now made 100% return on my investment.
Couple of big parcels being crossed at $5.65 price point.
We might see a drop with the virus scare. Opportunity may arise.?
What a media beat up. In terms of death the Samoan measles outbreak was WAY WAY WAY MORE devastating and media outside of the Pacific area barely mentioned it.
I guess the difference is - the measles outbreak was exclusively based on human dumbness (following the highly idiotic ANTIVACCERS) and the remedy against it was easy to see and implement (vaccinate). As well, anybody already vaccinated didn't had to worry.
For this new health scare so far nobody has immunity nor is there a known vaccine. But I agree - many more people are likely to die on the roads of this world or in US american schools through shooting events than through this new disease (but time will tell), but hey - the unkown is always more scary than the known.
I've heard from a Chinese person their government is hiding the real numbers of dead and sick. They also told me to stay away from Chinese new year celebrations as there's bound to be some travelers there.
Not sure what is the truth, but wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese government did something like this...
