View Full Version : Trading Carbon
I wish to allocate a portion of a long term investment portfolio towards carbon (NZU). Creating a registry account with NZETR is straight forward, but executing the trade requires a broker. OMF's minimum fee is $500, can anyone recommend a cheaper way?

you could take a look at Carbon Match, however note I have no knowledge of this operation.

"There are no joining or membership fees. Buyers and sellers each generally pay Carbon Match 5 NZ cents + GST per unit traded, subject to a minimum trade fee of $150 + GST if any."

Another option would be to ring the guys at Roger Dickie Forestry. They are 'natural' sellers of NZ Carbon Credits, and may have a way to trade with an individual (but haven't asked personally) Ask for Richard Bourne
